Rare Photo: Queen Farah Diba with Lepers, 1973


A rare photo of Queen Farah Diba of Persia with lepers, close to the city of Birjand in 1973.
The photo, which is taken at Dr. Raaji Leprosy Centre, was originally published in the Persian-language weekly Kayhan Havai
On that time Queen Farah was trying to help the lepers to return to the society.

Queen Farah Diba and the members of a Persian Tribe

A rare photo of Farah Diba (Pahlavi), the last queen of Persia, with young girls of a tribe.
The photo has been originally published in the Persian-language monthly Ferdowsi in Tehran in 1967.
Based on a short text which has been published below the photo, the meeting had been organized by Shiraz Art Festival.
The queen since 1979 revolution in Persia (Iran) lives in exile and spends her time mostly in Paris and Maryland.

American University's Honorary Doctorate for Queen Farah of Persia



A rare photo from the Persian-language weekly KAYHAN HAVAI which shows Queen Farah Diba while receiving American University's honorary doctorate. 
The document was offered to her by Raymond Geraldson, head of American University's board. The photo has been take on 21 June 1975 at Niavaran Palace in Tehran.

Dutch Magazine Interviews Persian Queen in exile: Farah Diba


The Dutch-language magazine "Royalty" in its latest issue (No. 8, 2013) has interviewed Farah Diba, the last queen of Persia.
The interview has been conducted by Marc van der Linden in the queen's house in Paris.

In the interview Farah has talked about his life in Tehran before the revolution, what happened to her in exile and her current life. Various family photos also have been published alongside of the interview.
The Dutch TV channel also has announced that "Royalty" in his latest issue has interviewed the Persian queen Farah Diba (Pahlavi).
