SHAHNAMEH FERDOWSI (Baysonghori Manuscripts)

A few pages of a rare manuscript of SHAHNAMEH (national epic of Persia) which has been published in 1971 in commemoration of the celebration of 2500th anniversary of the founding of Persian Empire by Cyrus the Great.

King Bahram and His Harpist on a Persian Pottery Piece

King Bahram and his harpist Azadeh, depicted on a 13th-century Persian pottery piece, are now housed in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. This artwork is inspired by the stories from Persia's national epic, the "Shahnameh" by Ferdowsi.

Persian Ballet Dancers, Tehran, 1975

In the above photo which was published in the Persian-language weekly "Kayhan Havai", they are rehearsing for "Bijan & Manijeh";  a ballet by Hossein Delhavi which was ready to perform at Roudaki Hall (Tehran Opera and Ballet House) in October 1975.
Dehlavi has composed this work inspired by Ferdowsi's Shahnameh (National Epic of Persia). The piece was later performed by Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Thomas Christian David.
