Persian Communities in front of European Parliament, 8 May 2014

Yesterday around 100 people of Persian communities in Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands were gathered in front of EU Parliament in Brussels.
Their intention was to express their anger because of the terrible situation of human rights in Persia (Iran).

Various speakers including Isabelle Durant (European Parliament Vice President) expressed their support Human rights activist in Iran and also in exile. Ms. Durant thanked Anvar Mirsattari (President of EuroPers Foundation in Brussels) who is quite active to inform the EU parliament about the ideas of Persians in exile. Ms. Durant mentioned: "In my December trip to Tehran I talked to Iranian authorities about human rights issues. In many cases they were not accepting the points but I am happy that on behalf of you I talked to them."

The demonstration was organized by Iran's Human Rights Solidarity Network.

Persian Fritware from 13th-Century AD

This artistic work has been created in Persia in 13th-century; when the country was ruled by Seljuq dynasty.

was a Turkish Sunni Muslim dynasty that gradually adopted Persian culture and contributed to the Turko-Persian tradition in the medieval West and Central Asia.

This work is now kept at the Museum of The Hague City Hall.

A Factual Interview by Israeli Prime Minister about Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Bejamin Netanyahu recently has been interviewed by BBC Persian TV.
The interview has attracted huge attention in both Persian and International media.
Except for one comment about wearing jeans, it was one of the most factual interviews that I have heard in recent years about the situation in Iran.

Israel also is not a completely free country but Netanyahu is right. People in Iran have voted to Hassan Rouhani just because they had no any other option and opposition is not allowed to participate in the election.
I hope to see Mullas leave Persia as soon as possible and we also gain freedom in our homeland.
I also hope that Israel does not support separatist groups in Iran. Persian people are quite sensitive on this issue and it's not the way to remove the current government.

Georgia; Persians' favorite destination for a short time

After 1979 Islamic Revolution in Persia (Iran), many people are always trying to find a nice, calm and not expensive place for their vacation; somewhere that they can enjoy their minimum personal freedom; somewhere that they can drink whatever they wish and wear whatever they like; what they are prevented to do in their own land.

Turkey seems the most popular destinations after the revolution. Specially because Iranians do not need to apply for Visa. Recently Georgia was added to the list; a former Soviet Union republic where in various historical era was a part of Persian empire.

But Georgia could not remain a 'favorite place'. Since July 2013 because of Western sanctions against the Iran, Georgia ended the visa-free travel of Persian citizens to this country.

The ordinary people are the only victim of Western sanctions against the Islamic regime in Tehran.

Do Not Speak Persian because of Apple Racism!

19-year-old Sahar Sabet says an Apple Store in Georgia refused to sell her an iPad after a store representative overheard her speaking in Persian.

"Very hurtful, very embarrassing. I actually walked out in tears," Sabet told WSBTV about her experience.

According to Yahoo News: "When a reporter from the station returned to the same Apple Store with Sabet, the employee once again reiterated that it is Apple company policy to not sell products to anyone from Iran. The WSBTV reporter recorded video of the exchange on her phone."

Sabet is a U.S. citizen and a student at the University of Georgia.

Iranians portrayed as 9/11 terrorists in "Flight 93"

I am watching the American movie "Flight 93", directed by Peter Markle. It's about 9/11 events.

In the hijacked plane, one of the passengers calls home and tells his wife: "The hijackers look like Iranians"!! but actually NO IRANIAN WAS INVOLVED IN 9/11 attacks.

The director/producers should be ashamed. Poor Persians! millions of them escaped to the West after 1979 Islamic Revolution. Because their homeland has been hijacked by Mullas but even in exile they are portrayed as terrorist!
