Dariush shines in Holland | De Doelen Repairs Its Image

On 11 Oct. 2014 Dariush, the legendary Persian pop star shined once again in a concert at De Doelen in Rotterdam.

 The venue was full of his fans who were singing with him during the event.

De Doelen before this concert was a hated place for many Persians in the Netherlands. During 2009 pro-freedom demonstrations in Iran which many people were killed by the Islamic goverment in Tehran and other cities, the regime tried to cover up its crime by organizing a so-called "Peace Concert" in Europe. Their agents hired famous venues in big European cities to give this impression that they are culture-oriented. In Holland they hired "De Doelen".

It was quite surprising that how De Doelen decided to accept Iran's Embassy offer to hire the hall in a time that human rights violations in Iran were every day in the news.

 For the concert in January 2010 the embassy sent free tickets to its own people. At the night of the concert a big demonstration was organized by Iranian opposition groups in Netherlands against the event. Inside the hall the embassy's agents attacked the protesters and the concert was remained unfinished.

It seems De Doelen just cares about money and nothing else. Anyway it's good that finally a pro-freedom Iranian singer performed there. Maybe an opprotunity for De Doelen to repair its image for Persian-Dutch community.

Dutch Immigration Office is going to deport Bardia Taherpur to Tehran!

Dutch Immigration Office (IND) has decided to deport Bardia (Mojtaba) Taherpur to Tehran! a surprising act.
Bardia is quite well-known by the Iranian authorities. He has participated in most of anti-Islamic Republic demonstrations in The Netherlands and also converted to Zoroastriasim (national religion of Persia before Islam) in a ceremony in Leiden:

I have seen many people who has not ANY political background but IND has accepted their fabricated cases but such READ political activists are treated like this!
Isn't it the time that IND revises its policies and advisors?!

One of the most ridiculous decisions by European Commission

Since last week I am reading everyday in social networks about one of the most ridiculous decisions by European Commission:
Suspending the residence permit approval of Iranian skilled migrants in Europe!
and The Netherlands has been a pioneer to keep Persian applications on hold.

Many times and specially since 2009 pro-democracy movement of Iranian people we have heard from EU politicians that Iran's people is separated from Iran's government and they should be supported through social, cultural and academic exchanges. Now it's a sign! EU has targeted the Persians directly, rather than the Islamic regime in Tehran.

Yesterday I read about the story on Persian Dutch Network and today a short piece has been published in Dutch daily NRC (12 June 2012).
Iranian community has been among the most successful migrant groups in integration to Dutch society. Now they are paying its price!
